These sketches were never intended to show a hole or feature in every minute detail but rather reveal certain aspects that have influenced me or held my attention as a golf course architect and someone who loves to sketch.

I hope that what I have seen during course visits will in turn interest you as these quick sketches represent something very different to the perfect drawings and paintings of courses we are all familiar with.

The raw essence and spirit of a place in my opinion is best captured and drawn out in a sketch.

Rather than keep these sketches stored away I have decided to make prints of certain sketches and allow them to be purchased in the form of greeting cards and calendars.

The majority of sketches depict courses I have visited during study trips through the UK and Ireland but I will from time to time make available sketches of my own golf hole designs and ideas. I will be regularly changing the prints available and will be constantly producing new sketches, continually varying what there is on offer.

Golf Sketch will hopefully provide me with the opportunity to visit more courses throughout the world and in turn bring a greater degree of recognition for me as a young golf course architect, passionate about golf course architecture.  Through Golf Sketch I hope to reveal and present my own designs, philosophies, techniques and ideas as well as sharing sketches I create of existing courses.

From the outset I knew supporting a charity was a strong objective I held for Golf Sketch. For every card or calender I sell, a percentage of each sale will go to my chosen charity, ‘Just a Drop’.

As Golf Sketch grows I hope to set up a charity to support other issues close to my heart.
